Our Client
Glen had decided that it was time to build a new home. A home design that worked well for his young family.
Glen had a house designed by a local draftperson. The Hampton’s style home included separate living spaces for his kids as well as their bedrooms away from the main part of the home.
The home was to also house Glen’s mum in her own studio space attached to the home but separate from the main living areas of the main dwelling.
The house Glen had designed was a split level, to suit the sloping block of land in Arcadian Hills, Cobbitty.
Finding a builder who is transparent, honest and communicates efficiently were priorities for Glen this time around.
Glen had previously built with a large project builder. The experience was not great and taught Glen a lot about what he wanted from his next builder.
Glen had heard about a number of local builders but after doing his own research he was not convinced that they would deliver the quality home or experience that he was after.
A mutual acquaintance recommended Highwater Homes, so Glen reached out.
After looking through a Highwater home under construction, Glen was impressed with the quality. He also appreciated seeing the size of the bedrooms and garage in person. This allowed Glen to compare the size to his own rooms on his drawn plans to ensure they were an adequate size and would work for him.
Working through the Highwater Homes Fixed Price Tender stage was a breeze. Glen was supported with his colour and selections by our experienced Interior Designer. She assisted Glen with the selection process to ensure the vision that Glen had for his home came together.
With the support of the professional Interior Designer, Glen was able to confidently make the bold choice of selecting a blue coloured paint for the exterior of his home. The perfect choice for his Hamptons style home.
Even during the demanding time of COVID, the build progressed smoothly.
Glen appreciated the updated online schedule that he could follow to keep track of what was happening each week. This kept Glen informed throughout the entire process and he could see well ahead when practical completion would take place.
The Result
Glen was excited to receive the keys for his finished home and could not wait to pick the kids up from school to show them their new home. Glen and his kids are now living in their beautiful new home and he is so thankful for the professional approach of Highwater Homes. The regular communication and dealing directly with the builder made his experience enjoyable and stress-free.
